Jennifer & Jeremy

The day was chilly. The sun hid behind the clouds coming out just to taunt us out in Weston, Missouri for the wedding of Jennifer and Jeremy. Thankfully, we got all the group pictures done during the day while the chill stayed away for the most part. Then, brilliantly, just before the wedding began, the sun came out from behind the clouds and stayed out to give us a fabulous sunset mid-ceremony. Set in a quaint apple orchard, surrounded by friends and family, Jennifer and Jeremy said their vows. A crisp fall evening for sure, but a beautiful wedding nonetheless!

Therese and Mike

Therese and Mike were wed on a spectacular Saturday in October. We got a little lost finding the church the first time, but thankfully we scope out locations before the day of the wedding ;) The ceremony was a full Latin Mass which was a first for us here at Artistic Imagery. The weather had been awful every day leading up to the wedding but we must say, we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day than the one we were provided with!
Here are some fun, quick images from their wedding.

Jennifer's Bridal Shoot

Jennifer and Jeremy had their wedding this past weekend and we had the pleasure of photographing their beautiful occasion. We'd met with Jennifer and Jeremy several times before their wedding date and they are hands down one of the kindest and caring couples we've ever worked with. A couple weeks before their actual wedding date, we had the oportunity to take Jennifer out for a bridal shoot. We planed to meet at Union Station and while discussing how we'd find each other, Jennifer smiled real big and said in her typical way, "I'll be the one in the big, white dress!"
Needless to say, we had a great time. Thankfully, Jennifer is as big a romantic as us and while we did manage some edgier shots in her shoot, we focused more on the soft, elegant shots that Union Station can accomodate like few other places in KC. Here are some selections from her delicious bridal shoot and we'll have some of their fabulous wedding photos up here soon! Enjoy.

Amanda and Brian

Hey, just thought to post some quick pics of the wedding we photographed this past weekend. The wedding was in Odessa which was quite a drive for us. We got ourselves some Carribou Cofee and packed up and headed East. The ceremony was quick and relaxed in a beautiful church with high ceilings and stone walls. The bride and groom had decked out in their Outdoor/ Western best and the attire was perfect for their hog-roasting, sparkler-waving, bonfire-lighting reception. It was certainly an unforgettable event!

Family Pictures $100!

So it's that time of year again. . . the leaves are turning, the air is crisper, the sun is a bit mellower than it has been. We here at Artistic Imagery have put out the leaf wreath and are lighting those pumpkin candles. . . mmmmmm. One of the best things about fall is that it's just perfect weather for family and senior pictures. We can't even tell you how many people say, "I really want you guys to do our family picutres. We need to do that some time. . ." but life just gets in the way and family pictures don't get taken.

Well, no more! We are running an incredible special for the next 1 1/2 months and it should leave nobody with the excuse to not get their family pictures done this fall. How can we as a society pass up a one and a half hour session for only $100? Those kids aren't getting any younger! It's time to document these precious moments while we can, right? Family picutres in the cool fall weather. That's what this is about, people. Memories. Family.

Almost enough to bring a tear to your eye, right?

WAGOH conference

This weekend, we were priviledged to photograph the Woman After God's Own Heart conference that took place at Indian Creek Community Church here in KC. Not only did Barb get to enjoy the conference, but she had a great time getting to know some of the women involved. Gloria Gaither, a renouned Christian artist and writer (http://www.gaither.com/shop/myhomecats.php) was one of the keynote speakers. Lynda Randle, a local artist (http://www.lyndarandle.com/) was the leader of the conference and impressed audience members with several gospel songs. Indian Creek was a gracious host, allowing access to their beautiful sanctuary, stocked cafe, and spaciously open entranceway. It was certainly an experience we won't forget!

Jennifer and Jeremy

Armed with a bag full of props, Jennifer and Jeremy were one hundred percent prepared for their engagement shoot. Old books, a boquet of flowers and other neat things were among our arsenal. She was also great enough to come with some good ideas in mind of what she wanted out of the engagement shoot. Can't hardly ask for more than that. Is work really work when we have so much fun?

Now we can't wait until their wedding next month. . .
