Amanda and Brian

Hey, just thought to post some quick pics of the wedding we photographed this past weekend. The wedding was in Odessa which was quite a drive for us. We got ourselves some Carribou Cofee and packed up and headed East. The ceremony was quick and relaxed in a beautiful church with high ceilings and stone walls. The bride and groom had decked out in their Outdoor/ Western best and the attire was perfect for their hog-roasting, sparkler-waving, bonfire-lighting reception. It was certainly an unforgettable event!

Family Pictures $100!

So it's that time of year again. . . the leaves are turning, the air is crisper, the sun is a bit mellower than it has been. We here at Artistic Imagery have put out the leaf wreath and are lighting those pumpkin candles. . . mmmmmm. One of the best things about fall is that it's just perfect weather for family and senior pictures. We can't even tell you how many people say, "I really want you guys to do our family picutres. We need to do that some time. . ." but life just gets in the way and family pictures don't get taken.

Well, no more! We are running an incredible special for the next 1 1/2 months and it should leave nobody with the excuse to not get their family pictures done this fall. How can we as a society pass up a one and a half hour session for only $100? Those kids aren't getting any younger! It's time to document these precious moments while we can, right? Family picutres in the cool fall weather. That's what this is about, people. Memories. Family.

Almost enough to bring a tear to your eye, right?

WAGOH conference

This weekend, we were priviledged to photograph the Woman After God's Own Heart conference that took place at Indian Creek Community Church here in KC. Not only did Barb get to enjoy the conference, but she had a great time getting to know some of the women involved. Gloria Gaither, a renouned Christian artist and writer (http://www.gaither.com/shop/myhomecats.php) was one of the keynote speakers. Lynda Randle, a local artist (http://www.lyndarandle.com/) was the leader of the conference and impressed audience members with several gospel songs. Indian Creek was a gracious host, allowing access to their beautiful sanctuary, stocked cafe, and spaciously open entranceway. It was certainly an experience we won't forget!

Jennifer and Jeremy

Armed with a bag full of props, Jennifer and Jeremy were one hundred percent prepared for their engagement shoot. Old books, a boquet of flowers and other neat things were among our arsenal. She was also great enough to come with some good ideas in mind of what she wanted out of the engagement shoot. Can't hardly ask for more than that. Is work really work when we have so much fun?

Now we can't wait until their wedding next month. . .

Amanda and Renato

What a joy it was to photograph and film our old friends Amanda and Renato on their wedding day. We've known this couple from the very beginning out in Hannibal, MO, and it seems this day was along time in coming. Renato's parents flew in from Italy and Amanda's dad came as a suprise visit. What a day full of excitement and emotion! Amanda and Renato are probably some of the most enjoyable and laid back people we know. Here's some images from their wedding that we loved.

Valerie and Mark

well, it's high time we updated here. we've had a blast the past few weeks and haven't had any time to get photos up. we have several weddings to upload but here's something we've done recently. talk about a beautiful venue! this place was perfect for the intimate wedding Valerie and Mark had. they were such a delightful couple and the plans they put into their special day were amazing. The Inn on Crescent Lake was the perfect location and thankfully, their outdoor wedding started merely two hours after the thunderstorm ended. Whew!
