There's something kinda cool and rather romantic about barns. This trend must be catching on because we've decided that we probably document at least two weddings a year set in barns. Here is our latest, a wedding we filmed this past Satruday. Barb, of course, can't help but take some pictures. She's always a sucker when it comes to the intimate details that make each wedding unique. Joni and Cody were a cool couple to work for and Jered had a blast driving around in their incredible stretch limo. Look for an upcoming post with a link to some video. This was a killer wedding in an absolutely *gorgeous* church just outside Brookside. Cream and espresso is one rad color combo, if you ask us!

Helping Out
This past week, we had the oportunity to help out with a local middle school youth group as they went about Kansas City doing various projects. They were a great group of kids of tons of enthusiasm. They nearly wore us out!
The first day, they went to Harvesters where groups sorted food into bins to be donated throughout the city. Other groups boxed up the sorted food. It was a bit dark in the warehouse, but what a great oportunity for young people to help out the city.

Java Jive shoot
This past weekend, we went to our old stomping grounds, Hannibal, MO. Barb worked at this funky coffee shop fo the 3 1/2 years we were there and what an experience! We made some great friendships and got to be in (what was for all purposes) the hub of Hannibal art society. Katy just bought the place from her parents. Katy's father makes all the pottery used in the coffee shop and her sisters do a lot of the art on the walls. What a brilliant family owned place!
Well, since moving back to KC, we've kept in touch with a lot of the workers and regulars down there. Java Jive just launched its own facebook page so we figured we'd help out Katy and take some cool photos for her. We already posted them to our face book page and created the link. For blog purposes, we thought to post some :)
Ahh, white chair. How we miss you and your comfiness. . .

Blue Grotto
Since our first post, we've had some time to process some of the pictures we took around the restaurant. They had an eclectic menu with a very wide wine menu. High ceilings. Good lighting. We loved it almost instantly. And the fact that they have this enormous brick oven in the center of the place with which they cook delicious pizza didn't hurt either.
